7 Hour Private Custom Excursion with Husky Puppies

Join me for an unforgettable experience learning and exploring as we venture through my historic Gold Rush town and up the mountains into Canada for the most scenic views in the world!  We’ll see glaciers, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, and mountains as you travel through Alaska into Canada's British Columbia and Yukon Territory.  We’ll also search for some of the many wild animals that call this home.

Best of all, we’ll stop at the Tutshi Dog Mushing Camp where Alaskan Huskies train for the Iditarod.  You pay an admission fee at the camp, and, yes, you can play with adorable husky puppies!  An additional charge lets you ride a cart pulled by 14 energetic, playful Alaskan Huskies.  Even if you don't ride, it’s a lot of fun to watch the training in action and learn about the racing experience.  You pay the fees for these activities directly to the  Dog Mushing Camp when we arrive. Additionally, we have the option of visiting the Yukon Suspension Bridge.  We definitely want to prioritize what is most important for you, as there may not be time for both the puppies and the bridge.  This is your private custom tour, so we have the flexibility to create it together. And if you have children in your group--they are in for a fun day!  We'll keep them engaged throughout the trip with an interactive Scavenger Hunt and a game of "I Spy".  You might want to add some of the other options that are specifically fun for kids.  This includes activities such as playing with soft, cuddly future Iditarod puppies, taking a ride pulled by 14 well-trained sled dogs, or even crossing 65 feet above the white-water rapids of the Tutshi River on a suspension bridge.  There are also kid-sized treasures to take home that are sure to bring a smile.  We'll plan this together to ensure we have time to include everything that is important to you.  This is your private custom tour and I want it to be a trip your children will always remember!

 

Our drive continues through British Columbia and up into the Yukon, catching all of the best photo stops along the way.  We’ll pull into the tiny Yukon village of Carcross for lunch and a chance to buy local souvenirs.  After that, you’ll see “The Smallest Desert in the World” and the incredibly breathtaking Emerald Lake before heading back to Skagway.  The goal is to create treasured memories you’ll want to share with friends and family for years to come.  Join me for this adventurous day of fun! 

Itinerary

On our day’s journey I’d love to share the many bits of local color I’ve picked up during my adventures in the historic city of Skagway.  Some historical events, some interesting facts, with a healthy dose of tall tales and humor mixed in.  You can also choose to take in the spectacular vistas in silence or with your own music.  It’s all your choice.
